Captain Chris Recchio

Captain Chris Recchio spends about 200 days of every year on the water, reeling in gorgeous fish. He was a commercial fisherman for years and has guided customers on fishing trips out of SailFish Marina for the past 18 years. He's fished waters of Cuba, Mexico, Turks and Caicos, Maine, Key West, the list goes on! He has also competed and won multiple local tournaments, as well as a great success on the Mid-Atlantic tournament. He loves meeting new anglers from all corners of the world and he loves seeing them again!

Q: Where do you spend most of your time fishing?

A: I spend most of my time fishing in the Palm Beach area and the Bahamas.

Q: What type of fishing do you practice?

A: Kite fishing for sailfish.

Q: How long have you been fishing for?

A: I have been fishing for as long as I can remember, but professionally for 22 years.

Q: How did you get started fishing?

A: I am originally from upstate New York, but most of my childhood was spent here in West Palm Beach, FL where I learned to fish. When I turned 15, I went to the Bahamas and caught my first Blue Marlin. From that point on, I was in love with blue water fishing. My passion has always been sport fishing, and I love sharing it with others alongside my family.
