Blackfin Rods are proud to be the fishing rod chosen by some of the best fishermen on the water. Several boats on the hit TV show Wicked Tuna use Blackfin Rods. Let’s be honest, tuna fishing can be intense and you need your fishing rod to hold up to the action. Blackfin rods are tried and true as well as trusted by these Wicked Tuna boat captains, and for that, we are incredibly thankful.

What fishing Rods do they use on Wicked Tuna?

Blackfin Rods are a very popular choice for any Tuna fisherman. Capt Jonathan Wright from Blackfin Rods joined Capt TJ Ott on the Hot Tuna, a 48’ Dixon Series 60 Detroit, fishing for giant bluefin tuna off Glouchester, Massachusetts.

TJ began to captain the family boat at the age of 20 and found himself on season 3 of Wicked Tuna. Hot Tuna is a Calvin Beal 44-foot custom-built fishing boat built by SW Boatworks.
