Captain Jonathan Kranker

Captain Jonathan Kranker was born and raised in the Fort Pierce area and has grown up fishing the local waterways. His goal on charter trips is to give you the best and most memorable experience of offshore fishing you can get without owning your own boat.

Q: Where do you spend most of your time fishing?

A: I spend most of my time fishing offshore and near shore, but I am a Stuart native and have been fishing these waters since I was a child.

Q: What type of fishing do you practice?

A: I practice inshore and offshore big game fishing and target snapper, grouper, cobia, mahi, saillish, sharks. kingfish, tuna. etc. Basically anything that bites.

Q: How long have you been fishing for?

A: I’ve been chartering for 5 years and fishing these waters for over 20 years.

Q: How did you get started fishing?

A: I started fishing with my father and friends. After spending a little time on the water, I knew this was the career path I wanted to take in life. I’ve always been obsessed with fishing and any of my customers will tell you I get more excited than they do when we get to fishing! I am where I am today by working hard and pushing through the first few years of starting a business. I thrive in the ocean and love the water!

Q: Why do you partner with Blackfin?

A: I partner with Blackfin because they make ’wonderful rods and are located in my hometown. They always get the job done correctly and haven’t failed me yet getting all the species to the boat! I am in it for the long run and I love this industry.
